The entire International Union of Operating Engineers Local 882
Executive Board was acclaimed without contest at its May 29, 2018 General Meeting.
Business Manager Adrian David said he was honoured by the Local’s members putting their confidence in him for a second 4-year term to continue rebuilding the Local.

Local 882 membership includes power engineers, school district workers, health care workers and municipal workers throughout British Columbia.
“I deeply appreciate being acclaimed for another 4-year term of office – and I pledge to our members that I will do my very best to honour the faith they have placed in me,” David said.
“We have been rebuilding our union local over the past 4 years and we have made great progress. But there is still more work to be done and I am committed to doing it, with your help and support.”
Business Manager David said the Local 882 Executive Board has also been essential to improving workplace representation.
“I am very pleased that at Local 882’s General Mebership meeting, all other Executive Board members were acclaimed for the next 4 year term of office. WE have a great team in place and I could not success without their valued and outstanding hard work,” David said.
